Christmas Concert Hailed as a 'Triumph'
Students impress audiences with their musical talents.
On Wednesday, performing arts students travelled to St Mary’s Church to perform in their Christmas Concert, accompanied by Mr Riley and Mrs Cook. Students proudly represented the school, with audience members branding the performance as a ‘triumph’ after being impressed by the musical talent on display.
“Our invitation to perform came from Philip Wordley, as part of the Christmas SMART concerts and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to showcase our students' musical talents.” said Mr Riley, “The concert featured a range of performances ranging from classical pieces and musical theatre, to lively jazz and of course some Christmas classics. The students’ impeccable behaviour and enthusiasm was clearly evident, and they should be incredibly proud of themselves and their hard work. It was wonderful to witness our enthusiastic students showcase their musical skills to the local community, who were incredibly receptive and appreciative of our performances. We feel immensely honoured to have participated in such a heart-warming event and we cannot wait for the next one. A quote from a member-of-the-public included, ‘wonderful to see such talent performing together with a lovely atmosphere and super talented young people – fabulous!’ “
