Former Student Delivers Creative Industries Talk
We were delighted to welcome back Senior Lecturer and alumni, Klaire Elton from Nottingham Trent University
Thank you to Klaire Elton, Course Leader and Senior Lecturer in Textile Design at Nottingham Trent University, who delivered presentations to our students throughout the day today. As one of our former
students, Klaire was able to share her journey from GCSE’s and A-Levels, through higher education and into industry and her current career as a lecturer. She also gave students valuable insights into course opportunities (qualifications) and employment potential in the creative industries to inform their options choices at GCSE, A-Level and Post-18.
Alongside this, A-Level students received more specific support and guidance in the construction and presentation of portfolio’s for degree course interviews. Throughout the sessions students demonstrated PRIDE with high levels on engagement and we will look to make further links with the University to support outreach sessions, during which students will have opportunities, including visits to the University, to see their facilities and participate in practical sessions and activities.
