Uniform Bank

We have now introduced a Uniform Bank at The Hinckley School to support students to be in the correct uniform every day. The Uniform Bank operates as a loan system where students can access second hand blazers, ties, shirts, skirts, trousers, shoes and PE kit should they need it.

As a school we are always looking for ways to support our community and as we continue to face unprecedented economic circumstances we have been working hard to ensure we offer avenues of additional support for families. The Uniform Bank is part of our ongoing development of a Community Wellbeing Hub, which will allow us to support families with access to food bank services and community wellbeing services.

This support goes hand in hand with the work of our Pastoral Team and means that we can remove barriers to learning for our community through long and short term use of uniform items.

Second Hand Uniform Items

The Hinckley School encourages the reuse of uniform items and has worked with nominated uniform suppliers so that the quality of our branded items supports this. Our in-school Community Well-Being Hub houses a Second Hand Uniform Bank open, by request, to parents, carers and students. This allows not only students to borrow items on a short term loan basis, but also for families to access second hand uniform including blazers, shirts, trousers, skirts, ties and shoes where necessary.

To request access to purchase items from the Second Hand Uniform Bank, please contact our Safeguarding and Well-Being Team – ipawley@thehinckleyschool.co.uk so we can arrange an appointment. (Please note that as this shop relies on donations, availability and stock may vary.)

If you would like to donate pre-loved, but clean and reusable uniform items, such as blazers, ties, skirts and trousers to our Uniform Bank, then please bring bagged items to our Main Reception during our normal opening hours. We are extremely grateful of all donations.
